Lyttelton Gems: Wine tasting, Māori Art and Wood Carving Tour
This 4-hour tour takes in the best of Lyttelton. Your guide will meet you from Norwich Quay. From here, it's a short walk on foot to Māori Whakaraupō Carving Studio. On arrival, you will be welcomed and learn about Whakairo (carving) and the local history.
Your knowledgeable guide will then take you for a short stroll to the Rei Art Studio while taking in some of Lyttelton’s iconic picturesque port homes.
Once at the gallery you will be shown the stunning artworks while enjoying a hot beverage.
Te ao Māori Rei Gallery is comprised of a collective of diverse members with a broad range of mediums, including sculptors, carvers, visual artists and printers.
The last stage of this amazing experience is to learn about and taste a selection of delicious wines from the Harbour Basin and wider Canterbury area.
The guests will receive an informative presentation by a qualified wine professional, highlighting the history of wine making in the region, the terroir, the local vineyards. This is followed by tastings of a beautiful selection of wines.

Kia Ora, we are locals wanting to share with you a unique experience in the idyllic corner of New Zealand's Banks Peninsula, a dramatic volcanic landscape full of adventure.
Fiona has a Postgraduate Diploma from Lincoln University in Viticulture and Oenology and a Food and Wine business background .
Kate has extensive experience in organising events and fundraising in Canterbury and has previously taught Art .
